Our Kids’ Success is Our Success
For more than a decade, we’ve helped children with special needs reach their full potential at home, at school, at play, and everywhere in between.
Their success often comes down to finding the right piece of adaptable equipment, whether it’s a wheelchair, walker, or something else. But insurance doesn’t always cover that equipment, and families can’t always afford the investment. That’s where we come in.
The smiles on our kids’ faces and their new-found independence keeps us motivated. Read some of their stories to see how we’re making a difference—and how you can help.
Change a Child’s Life
Your monetary donations provide funding for portions or full pieces of equipment for children.
Kelsey’s Story
From Kelsey’s mom: We had applied to our insurance company and were denied twice for a manual chair. We had nothing else to put Kelsey in, in case of an emergency or if her electric chair broke down. Also, Kelsey is 17 years old and would like some independence going places without me.
With a manual chair she will be able to go to friends and families homes that she has never seen because her electric chair would not fit. Also, because the chair folds, her friends and family could take her places without me. This generous gift will open a new world for Kelsey and it is nice to know that the world will know her more, also.
For this we are so grateful.

Donate and Change a Child’s Life
TKEN is one of the few organizations that fulfills its mission without paid positions. Whether you donate equipment or give a monetary gift, your donation helps provide equipment to a child who needs it, grants the funding to make equipment functional, insures the services we provide, and helps spread the word to children who can benefit from our services.
